The Contact incident is the Nordic Federation's name for their first encounter - and subsequent battle - with aliens shortly after (unknownly) intruding into Machweik controlled space. The brief engagement resulted in the deaths of almost two dozen Nordic explorers and the loss of NSS High Seas, a Nordic Exploration Vessel.
